It had been a while since the western side of the map had been used for a start-finish area.
Unfortunately access restrictions meant that competitors were forced into the steeper sections of the map, which over the years had also seen the vegetation thicken up.
So the large number who unfortunately Did Not Finish (DNF) illustrates the physical difficulties that challenged competitors.
Thanks to all Yalangans who came out to help on a sunny winter day.
